1960s

Raymond L. Brown (62) was  inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, Class of 2006. A founding partner in the Pascagoula law firm Brown Buchanan Sessoms, he was a quarterback at Ole Miss in the late ’50s and remains the only unanimously selected Most Valuable Player in the Sugar Bowl.

Jesse R. Adams Jr. (67) is president of the New Orleans Bar Association. He is a senior member of Adams, Hoefer, Holwadel & Eldridge.

George B. Pickett (69) is immediate past president of the Million Dollar Round Table, the premier association of financial professionals. He is a principal at Pickett, Bradford & Associates in Jackson.

 

1970s

William C. Spencer (70) of Tupelo is president of the law firm Mitchell, McNutt & Sams.

Charles P. Quarterman (72) is special assistant attorney general for the Division of Medicaid in Jackson.

J. Max Kilpatrick (73) has been appointed by Gov. Haley Barbour to fill a chancery judgeship in six east Mississippi counties.

Crane Davis Kipp (75) is a fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. He is a partner in the Jackson office of Wise Carter Child and Caraway and practices in the areas of general corporate, commercial and healthcare law.

Roger Wicker (75) received the North American Interfraternity Conference’s Award of Distinction, which goes to a member of Congress for dedication to his fraternity’s ideals and missions.

Deborah Davis (76) is chief administrative law judge for the Tupelo hearing office. She previously was a professor of paralegal studies at UM.

Toni Campbell Parker (79) is a partner in the firm Myers Graves & Parker in Hernando. She has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights since 1995.

Steven H. Smith (79) is a member of the Dunbar Monroe firm in Jackson.

Randy Noel (78) has joined the firm of Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada. He was selected by The Best Lawyers in America, 2005-2006 ® in Commercial Litigation.

Dewitt  L. “Rusty” Fortenberry Jr. (84) is of counsel in the general litigation section of the Jackson office of McGlinchey Stafford. His practice focuses on litigation and government relations.

Ronald David Farris (87) was  named of counsel to the Jackson office of Armstrong Allen.

David James Puddister (87) is clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Mississippi in Aberdeen.

J. Stuart Robinson Jr. (87) leads the Appellate Advocacy Section of the Jackson office of Armstrong Allen.

 

1990s

Robert P. Chamberlin (90) of Hernando is a circuit court judge for the 17th District.

Glen Kermit Till Jr. (91) is a partner with Simmons Law Group in Jackson.

Carnelia Pettis Fondren (93) announces the opening of Fondren Law Firm in Oxford.

Lucy Brewer Gray (93) is an attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, D.C.

Michael V. Cory Jr. (94) is a partner in the Jackson office of Burr & Forman.

John Fletcher (94) of Jackson participated in the 2004-05 Leadership Mississippi program. He is a shareholder at Watkins, Ludlam, Winter & Stennis.

Deanne Mosley (94) joined the Jackson law firm Phelps Dunbar and practices in its general litigation section.

Richard Myers (94) is a member of Stites & Harbison’s Nashville office.

Lee Ann Rikard (94) is a partner in the Jackson office of Burr & Forman.

Elizabeth Lee Maron (95) of Jackson participated in the 2004-05 Leadership Mississippi program. She is a partner at Adams and Reese.

Joseph Reid (95) is a partner in Gannaway, Cummings & Reid of Springfield, Mo.

Michael D. Orr (96) is manager of Insurance Program, HCA Inc. in Nashville.

Precious Tyrone Martin Sr. (97) is the first black president of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association. He is a partner in the Jackson law firm of Gibbs and Martin. He is married to Crystal Wise Martin (98).

Andrew David Shull (97) is shareholder in the Oxford office of Markow Walker.

Warren K. Rogers Jr. (98) is a member of the Jackson office of Brunini, Grantham, Grower & Hewes.

Robert Quentin Whitwell Jr. (98) joined the Southaven firm now named Stroud, Harper & Whitwell.

Maretta Martin McLeod Walley (99) was appointed to the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy by Gov. Haley Barbour.

 

2000s

Lee Ann Thigpen (00) joined the Jackson law firm Carroll, Warren & Parker.

Kimberly L. Campbell (01) is deputy city clerk/policy analyst for the city of Jackson.

Katharine D. McKee (01), former judicial law clerk to Supreme Court Justice George C. Carlson Jr., is an associate with the Jackson law firm Page, Mannino, Peresich & McDermott.

Richard C. Miller II (01) is a consultant with Enterprise Solution Providers in Ellicott City, Md.

Lew Yoder (01) of Oxford participated in the 2004-05 Leadership Mississippi program. He is with Holcomb Dunbar.

Katherine Pugh Hinkle (02) is an associate district attorney in Hinds County.

Judson Grant McMillin (02) is an associate with the Brookville, Ind., firm Mullin, McMillin & Rychner.

Nuru Witherspoon (02) is with Kelley & Witherspoon in Dallas.

Brandi L. Brown (03) is an attorney for Catholic Charities Inc. Legal Clinic in Jackson.

Samuel David Wright (03) is assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi in Oxford.

Kimberly Ann Easley (04) joined the trust and estate group of Butler Snow in Jackson, where she is concentrating her practice in general taxation in estate planning. She recently received her LLM in tax from New York University.

John H. Geary Jr. (04) joined the Jackson office of Phelps Dunbar and practices in general litigation.

Joshua L. Rogers (04) is with the Voters’ Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

C. Tyson Nettles (04) is an associate with the Charleston, S.C., law office Robertson & Hollingsworth.

G. Michael Warren II (04) is an associate with Adcock & Morrison in Ridgeland.

William Elliott “Wes” Sheumaker (04) joined the tax group in the Atlanta office of Troutman Sanders.

Mitchell D. Thweatt (05) accepted a position with the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at KPMG in Atlanta, effective upon the completion of his LLM in tax from New York University in May 2006.
