All options include the room from Sunday, June 22, to noon Thursday,July 31, 2008; breakfast and lunch, Monday-Thursday during program dates (no lunch on July 31); dinner on June 22 and July 30:

Room and board of £1615 is paid after arrival at Downing College. It will be collected Monday, June 23, 2008. Payment may be made ONLY by cashier's check in British pounds Sterling.  We are sorry, but Downing cannot accept payment in cash or by credit card.

Variable Expenses Connected With The Program
Travel to and from Cambridge, evening and weekend meals, books, weekend travel, miscellaneous

Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from Cambridge. The cost of this airfare, which can of course vary greatly, as well as related ground transportation, must be included when calculating the total cost of the summer program. In addition, the cost of meals in the evenings and on weekends, as well as weekend travel, books and miscellaneous expenses must all be taken into account. While it is difficult to generalize, students in recent summers have typically spent an average of $9,000-$10,000. You should keep in mind that the cost of goods and services in the United Kingdom and adjacent nations tends to be much higher than in the United States.

In April 2008 everyone enrolled in the program will receive a packet containing information about suggested travel arrangements to Cambridge, what to pack for a summer living in England, and what to expect during your stay at Downing College.
