Topic will be: “Federal Trial Practice -
Observations of 21-year Tenure on Federal Bench”

Judge Glen H. Davidson received a B.A. in 1962 and a J.D. in 1965 from the University of Mississippi. He has a distinguished career of almost 22 years as a federal judge representing the Northern District of Mississippi. He received his commission in 1985 following his nomination by President Ronald Reagan. He was appointed Chief United States District Judge in 2000. This event is open to the public. A reception will follow.

2Ls Professor Matthew Hall will host a Judicial Law Clerkship Forum on Tuesday, April 17, at 3:30 p.m. in Room TBA. This program is particularly aimed at 2Ls with an interest in the federal judicial clerkship programs. Some of our faculty who have served as JLCs at this level will participate.

2Ls The Attorney-CPA Foundation gives scholarships each year ranging from $250 to $1,000 per student and we have had students who have won these before! They are open to all 2Ls who have obtained a CPA certificate. Deadline: April 15, 2007. Information and application available in the CSO and more information on-line at www.attorney-cpa.com/foundation .

2Ls/3Ls Legal Momentum, a group that advances the rights of women and girls by using the power of the law and creating innovative public policy, seeks law students who will graduate or finish a clerkship in 2008 to sponsor for 2008-2010 fellowships for projects addressing legal needs of women. One-page information sheet in Public Interest Notebook in the CSO. Deadline to apply: June 1, 2007. More information also at www.legalmomentum.org .

Final Reminder: The annual Financial Aid Forum will be held on Thursday, April 12, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 112. If you’ve never been to any program here in the building, this is the one you need to attend. It could make all the difference in your future in terms of loan consolidation and information you have about loan repayment, Bar and Board Loans, etc. Sign up in the CSO. Wives, husbands, fiances, and significant others are welcome.
