lLs/2Ls – The US Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program and Summer Law Intern Program will use an earlier application deadline and a faster review and selection process for their next year of hiring. Applications open on JULY 25 and CLOSE ON SEPTEMBER 2! This is WEEKS earlier than last year and must be adhered to. So if you’re interested in DOJ program, you’re going to have to pay attention to deadlines and information earlier than usual. In addition:
* Four US Attorneys’ Offices (USAOs) and the Executive Office for US Attorneys (EOUSA) are hiring at the entry-level through the Honors Program. These applicants are limited to those who are already admitted to a Bar OR, in some cases, who have taken a summer 08 bar exam with results due in the Fall of 2008. These include: (l) the Central District of California (LA); (2) Southern District of California (San Diego); (3) Western District of Michigan (Grand Rapids); (4) Middle District of Florida (Orlando); and EOUSA, Washington, DC with possible assignments nationwide.
* The USAO for the District of Wyoming is participating in the Summer Law Intern Program and offering a position in either Cheyenne or in Yellowstone National Park.
* The Honors Program application has been expanded to permit applicants serving in post-JD legal fellowships to apply online on a conditional basis.
