SUSAN AND CHARLES COPELAND,
second-year students
“People tell us we’re crazy all the time. That
may be true However, in actuality, balancing
family and law school is no different from
holding any job and having a family. It requires
prioritization, balance and time management.
The faculty and staff of the law school have
been wonderful. They are genuinely interested
in our family and are always willing to help us
out.”

DEBRA GILES , second-year student
“I wanted to attend a law school where I could
be challenged, enriched, guided and nourished
by talented and passionate professors and staff,
and The University of Mississippi was that
place. It has prestige and a rich tradition that is
known in many places across the country. It is
also the alma mater of great and well-respected
attorneys and judges who are my mentors. To
have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps
by striding the halls and corridors of this school
means all the world to me.”

KATIE WETHERBEE, third-year student
“Engaging courses, exceptional professors and
endless opportunities are what I’ve come to
expect at The University of Mississippi. Ole
Miss offers a mix of challenging academics and
Southern style, culture and hospitality you can
find no place else.”

GABRIEL McGAHA , second-year student
“I learned quickly that my instructors were
interested in producing not only great legal
minds but also great servants of the community
beyond the legal profession. Coming from a
small college, I had grown to appreciate the
open-door policies of my undergraduate
professors. I have yet to find a closed door at
Ole Miss.”

JAKE DICKERSON , third-year student
and law school student body president
“Whether you play on one of the law school’s
many championship intramural sports teams,
become involved in a student or service
organization, or simply go out with other law
students to enjoy some of Oxford’s famous
downtown nightlife, you easily will find many
ways to manage the pressures of your
education. The balance and accessibility of
academic opportunities, professional
development and social interaction at The
University of Mississippi is second-to-none.”
