THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI
Beauty and tradition

The University is noted for its award-winning beauty. The Grove and the Circle at the center of campus provide broad expanses of tree-shaded lawn perfect for sunny afternoons of studying ... or just socializing. The campus is also among the safest in the nation. Students and Oxford residents are surrounded by the reassuring comfort of living in a peaceful and secure community.

With an academic endowment in excess of $345 million, the University ranks near the top 10 percent of endowed colleges and universities in the country. This endowment is a perpetual source of funds for upgraded equipment, facilities, services, and financial aid, all of which prepare our students for a bright future.

The University comprises 13 colleges and schools in addition to the School of Law: the College of Liberal Arts, School of Engineering, School of Pharmacy, School of Education, School of Business Administration, School of Accountancy, School of Applied Sciences, and Graduate School, all located on the Oxford campus; and the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, School of Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences, and School of Health Related Professions, all located on the Jackson campus.

Unique academic programs such as the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, the John and Renée Grisham Visiting Southern Writer-in-Residence Program, and the Croft Institute for International Studies enhance the cultural opportunities for the entire community. The Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha Conference draws scholars and visitors from around the world to discuss the literary works of William Faulkner and to explore the part of the South that has been an inspiration to so many literary geniuses.

If you enjoy sports, The University of Mississippi offers some of the best action in the Southeastern Conference at some of the finest sports facilities anywhere. Football, basketball, baseball, track, soccer, volleyball, fast pitch, and tennis infuse the campus with excitement throughout the year.
